Hello and sorry for the possibly silly question,
What powers this discussion forum? Is it possible to selfhost this along gitea?
I already selfhost gitea for a few friends and it would be great if we had a place like this where we could post announcements and questions.
As with many modern forums, they use discourse. (found here: GitHub - discourse/discourse: A platform for community discussion. Free, open, simple.)
You absolutely can self host it 
But it would be your own forum with your own content to be clear.
