[solved] Configure Gitea to use HTML and or Rmd for project frontpage

I am looking for a way to make Gitea render a Readme.html.
Also because we are working heavily with R it would be great to make the frontpage parser recognize *.Rmd files.
*.Rmd files are basically Markdown with a bit R code thrown in and could be parsed like Markdown.

Maybe it is possible but I haven’t found a way, yet.

yes it is possible by using external renderers, see https://docs.gitea.io/en-us/external-renderers/ for more details.
