Gitea Not Creating Socket File

Gitea is not creating the /run/gitea/gitea.socket file.

I am running Gentoo x86_64, up-to-date, with a custom /etc/init.d/gitea file because the default Gentoo one is broken. I am attempting to use it with nginx and have pointed nginx to the socket. I have set the protocol as fcgi+unix.

Gitea is throwing a bunch of errors about not having permissions to mkdir data, which it does. I have checked that it does at least 5 times.
