@lunny, I’ve tried to log in again, but the result is identical. I would be surprised if trying multiple times did anything except get my IP address blocked too.
What’s the error prompt? There is no IP block list.

If it’s Username or password is incorrect. You could find you password.

It turns out that, whilst erroneously disabled, Gitea silently deleted my account. I think I’ll just move to Codeberg’s Forgejo server instead, because this is unacceptable.
@RokeJulianLockhart Your account wasn’t deleted. It was briefly quarantined in 2024, and I just checked now and it was marked as private (using past tense, as I’ve just made it public), which would make sense why you are receiving the API response of not found. Now that it’s public again, you can try the API call again and see that it returns information. You should still be able to login, as I just tested logging into a test account that was marked as private.
@techknowlogick, thank you. Have you any idea of how one might ascertain whether their profile is “private”, and why it might become in that state?
