For some reason, CPU usage very high.
Only running Gitea at this server.
Any suggestions?
I had this same issue. I solved it by denying all public access to Gitea.
In my case, an Amazon bot was scraping my site, triggering those expensive tasks. I don’t know exactly what URLs ware the cause, but I suspect that the bot was downloading zips for every commit found on the site, explaining the git archive found in the task manager.
When access to Gitea has been blocked, CPU was still working its legs off. I guessed that those tasks have piled up in a queue. So I simply deleted that one large repository hosted on my site (a mirror with +10k commits), fixing the issue.
Thinking about it… Maybe simply restating Gitea would have been better?
