Branches in repo are invisible

We are several developers creating branches in gitea and when any of us create a new branch since this morning they are all invisible

I have used the admin scripts to sync, and update all kinds of things there but no branches are visible.

I have myself tested from the web gui to create a copy of old branches that are visible but that does not make anything visible either

this is now becoming a problem since we must commit code in the gitea.

Any ideas how to resolve it?

I had to update to Gitea 1.21.7
now the branches work again and are visible
