I have just registered a new account and I am not receiving the confirmation email. I used the same email address to create an account on this forum and it worked.
That’s a classic headache. If the logs say ‘sent’ but nothing arrives, it’s often a mismatch between the FROM address in your app.ini and what your SMTP provider allows. Some providers (like Gmail or Outlook) will silently drop the mail if the ‘From’ field doesn’t exactly match the authenticated account. Double-check that your FROM and USER fields are identical!
I’m having the same issue and I don’t understand your advice here. I’m going to https://git.avsdev.uk and I created an account, but never receive a confirmation email even after requesting one multiple times, confirming my email was correct, etc. I don’t see any ‘from’ or ‘user’ fields when creating an account. Just the usual user name, email, password. Like the OP I used the same email to join this forum and had no issues with the confirmation email. Maybe you’re thinking about something further along, but I just need an account first!
