I am following the official documentation on how to mirror a remote repo. But, I don’t see a “This repository will be a mirror” checkbox in the New Migration page. Isn’t this option available in the free plan or something?
Repo mirroring is very much a feature of the Gitea project, and you can use it on any instance that has it enabled. It’s disabled on gitea.com as many people used it to create mirrors for testing, and it ended up using a significant amount of storage space that was never used past the initial migration.
