How to customize the landing page?

Is there any way to customuze the landing page (“Gitea - Git with a cup of tea”…). I read in the documentation but I ddid not find nothing specific. How to write HTML for landing page?

The specific template you need to override is: templates/home.tmpl

Perhaps we could improve documentation and make some specific example of custom page.
