Adding a TOC to a markdown file

After reading the WIKI now has TOC, I wondered if there was a way to do this in Markdown docs. After digging a bit, I found you can add the following:

---
gitea: none
include_toc: true
---

Not sure if this is the best way – seems support for a [[TOC]] tag would be nice someday.

It works but I can not find it in the Gitea documentation.
I want to see how far I can modify the behavior and appearance.

For example I want it unfolded by default and I want to control the toc depth.

Oh neat! I would also like to know if you can modify the behavior to be expended by default?

is there any plans to update the docs about this feature? (probably not a high priority item i guess?)

also side note on the video: interesting way to say gitea! I thought it was “git tea” given the logo is a tea cup?
