# Why am I prohibited to sign in?

i used it fine in the past few days, why am i suddenly not allowed to use Gitea? can I please get a explanation, i don’t know why.

None of us are your site admin. Based on the message shown, you should probably ask that person.

To be fair I have no idea who runs the [gitea.com](http://gitea.com) Gitea instance or how to contact them for technical issues. All I found is this: [Gitea Official Website](https://about.gitea.com/contact/contact)

This might even be illegal, collecting personal information without contact info is not right at least under GDPR rules. The Gitea signup page [Register - Gitea: Git with a cup of tea](https://gitea.com/user/sign_up) has no terms or privacy policy. Wtf is going on there?
