# Unable to use "code.gitea.io/sdk/gitea" when the version is an alien version

I need to do some cleanup in the PR, but hopefully that is able to clear it up.

That being said, you can also use [SetGiteaVersion](https://pkg.go.dev/code.gitea.io/sdk/gitea#SetGiteaVersion) to set the version manually in your code.
