# SMTP auth not working after server added MFA

Hi,  
I have been running a gitea site for a few years now and our users have been authenticating against Office365/Outlook’s SMTP server as our organisational email is hosted there  
([smtp.office365.com](http://smtp.office365.com)). However our IT has recently forced us to enable Multi Factor Authentication with Office365 and now the logins don’t work anymore.  
I have changed all the users to local users as a workaround but I thought I would just check if there is no way to authenticate to a remote SMTP Server with MFA enabled?
