# Is Repository Mirror a premium feature?

I am following the official documentation on [how to mirror a remote repo](https://docs.gitea.com/usage/repo-mirror#pulling-from-a-remote-repository). But, I don’t see a “This repository will be a mirror” checkbox in the [New Migration](https://gitea.com/repo/migrate?service_type=2&org=&mirror=) page. Isn’t this option available in the free plan or something?

Repo mirroring is very much a feature of the Gitea project, and you can use it on any instance that has it enabled. It’s disabled on [gitea.com](http://gitea.com) as many people used it to create mirrors for testing, and it ended up using a significant amount of storage space that was never used past the initial migration.
