I suppose I am one of the least technical people on this forum. I am not a developer, not a sys admin, but rather a power user looking to set up version control software for some devs.

To me the instructions [Installation from binary](https://docs.gitea.io/en-us/install-from-binary/) were much too terse. But hey, maybe they are sufficient for your target users.

I more or less followed the instructions in the YouTube video called [How to install Gogs on a Linux Server (DigitalOcean)](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=deSfX0gqefE)

During the last 20 seconds or so of that video the narrator explains the benefit of pressing

```
 Ctrl + C.
```

to stop Gitea from running and then appending the ampersand to _./gitea web_ to cause Gitea to run in the background:

```
./gitea web &
```

I found that very helpful.
