# Gitea connection when trying to push to a repo

hello everyone,

when i create a repo in gitea, every time i try to push code to it i get an error saying i “Timed out”.

does anyone know whats wrong?

When accessing Gitea web interface, do you add port to the URL? If yes, is the the same as one shown in the screenshot(3000)?

I’m guessing that the public URL that’s associated with Gitea is running at port(the usual ones: 80 and 443) that’s different from the one that’s mentioned in your configuration file.
